Men and women do many things in different ways, even reading news on the Internet. When reading news online, men follow a zigzag pattern while women tend to cross the page vertically (see illustrations). This is one of the findings of an eyetracking study (results in Spanish) that was conducted recently to learn reading habits on digital Spanish newspaper websites. The study also focused on the impact of advertising. Banners on top of the name of the newspaper and big vertical "skyscraper" ads are the most seen ads.
