: Bill Gates is in a very talkative mood these days. This time he's chatting with the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (German text)about Windows Mobile, portable music and plans to leave Microsoft's leadership when he turns 60.
On mobile music: "As good as Apple may be, I don't believe the success of the iPod is sustainable in the long run. ... If you were to ask me which mobile device will take top place for listening to music, I'd bet on the mobile phone for sure." He thinks consumers want more possibilities, not limitations.
He praised R.I.M.'s Blackerry but said Windows Mobile 5.0's server-less email approach "will make wireless e-mail ubiquitous." (Here's the quirky Google German-to-English translation.)
