One of the most frustrating things about watching UGC (end-user generated content) is that it’s mainly entertainment, self-based vanity self publishing. Not that I have a problem with navel gazing, but its doing something to help others - that really matters.
So I as I was asking Jay Dedman and Ryanne Hodson to come to my first 50th birthday party - I found about their efforts in sustainability.
The post Jay pointed me to - was on Greg Rose and his Veggie Oil car. I’m sure some of the things that came out of their recent trip to India (besides stomach parasites) was an org called Swajana. The whole idea is activism through content. It’s the same time honored tradition of many documentarians.Ryanne and Jay have a whole bevy of efforts and organizations they’re involved in (like Node101, FreeVlog and Have Money will Vlog) - all of them personified by this stack of ‘emblems’ to the right (which is what we call an org oriented icon/logos in a blog gutter.)
We’ll have a feature (in PeopleAggregator V 1.2) making it easy for network operators to easily post their own ‘emblems’ of orgs they support or participate in.Ryanne and Jay have a whole bevy of efforts and organizations they’re involved in (like , and ) - all of them personified by this stack of to the right (which is what we call an org oriented icon/logos in a blog gutter.)
